WIldlife Safaris and Gorilla Trekking

This trip takes you to many of Uganda's major national parks. You'll visit Murchison Falls National Park to see the falls, track chimpanzees in Kibale National Park, enjoy a boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and track gorillas in Bwindi National Park. You'll also go on game drives in Lake Mburo National Park.

The journey starts and ends in Entebbe, with an option to track rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary on your way to Murchison Falls National Park

Trip Summary

Day 1: Start in Entebbe, travel to Kampala

Days 2-3: Explore Murchison Falls National Park

Days 4-5: Visit Kibale National Park (Chimps)

Day 6: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Days 7-8: Explore Bwindi National Park (Gorillas)

Days 9-10: Visit Lake Mburo National Park

Day 10: Return to Entebbe

Day 1: Arrival in Kampala

  • Upon your arrival, our company representative will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. The exact pick-up time and dinner will depend on your arrival time.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

  • After breakfast at 8:00 am, we'll drive to Murchison Falls National Park, which takes about 5 hours. On the way, we'll visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and have lunch. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

  • Start your day with an early breakfast at 6:30 am. At 7:00 am, your driver and ranger guide will take you on a game drive, where you can see animals like lions, elephants, giraffes, and more. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and prepare for an afternoon boat cruise. On the boat, you'll see Nile crocodiles, hippos, and other wildlife along the riverbank, and get a close view of Murchison Falls. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

  • After breakfast at 8:00 am, drive to Kibale National Park. Arrive at the lodge by 12:00 pm, have lunch, and enjoy a walk in Bigodi Wetland, known for its rich biodiversity. You’ll see various bird species and primates. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

  • Start the day with chimpanzee tracking at 6:00 am, followed by breakfast and lunch. Later, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a 2-hour drive. After checking in, enjoy a night game drive starting at 8:00 pm, where you may see hippos, elephants, and possibly lions. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

  • Go for an early morning game drive at 5:00 am, lasting about 4 hours. After breakfast, enjoy lunch at noon and then head out for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. You’ll have the chance to see wildlife up close, including elephants, buffaloes, and various bird species. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

  • After breakfast at 6:00 am, drive to Bwindi National Park, a 3-hour drive. Upon arrival, have lunch and either enjoy Batwa cultural entertainment or relax for the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8: Gorilla Tracking

  • Start with an early breakfast and go for gorilla tracking at 6:00 am, with briefing at 7:00 am. The tracking starts at 8:00 am and can take varying amounts of time depending on the gorillas’ movements. You’ll spend one hour with the gorillas. Lunch can be packed or at the lodge, depending on when you finish. Relax for the rest of the day. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

  • After breakfast at 6:00 am, drive to Lake Mburo National Park, a 4-hour journey. Arrive in time for lunch, then enjoy an evening boat ride on Lake Mburo to see hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species. Dinner and overnight at the lodg


Day 10: Game Drive and Transfer to Kampala or Entebbe

  • Start with a warm cup of tea and an early morning game drive, looking for zebras, impalas, and other wildlife. Later, drive to Kampala with a stop at the equator and lunch en route. Proceed to Jinja for a sunset cruise with dinner, and spend the night at a hotel. The next day is reserved for departure. Alternatively, you can head straight to Entebbe for your flight or hotel drop-off.
