DETAILED ITINERARY
Upon arrival in Kigali, meet your guide and enjoy a brief city tour, visiting key landmarks and learning about Rwanda's history and culture. After lunch, embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Check in to your lodge and relax as you prepare for the adventures ahead.
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure. Hike through the misty rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once located, spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for relaxation and reflection on this extraordinary wildlife encounter.
Enjoy another exciting morning in Volcanoes National Park as you trek to find the rare and energetic golden monkeys. Watch them leap through the bamboo forests while learning about their unique behavior and conservation efforts. After the trek, drive to Lake Kivu and settle into your lakeside accommodation.
Spend the day relaxing along the beautiful shores of Lake Kivu. Optional activities include a boat cruise, kayaking, swimming, fishing, coffee tours, or exploring nearby communities. Enjoy the stunning sunset views over one of Africa's most beautiful lakes.
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely drive back to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for shopping or sightseeing before being transferred to the airport for your departure or hotel of your choice in Kigali.
