Day 1: Kigali city tour and Transfer to Akagera National Park

After breakfast, you will check out and embark on a guided city tour of Kigali, exploring some of the city's key attractions and learning about Rwanda's rich history and culture. Thereafter, you will begin your scenic drive to Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s only Big Five safari destination.

Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the "Land of a Thousand Hills," characterised by rolling hills, lush countryside, and picturesque rural communities. Upon entering the park, you may have the opportunity to spot wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and other plains game as you proceed to your lodge or camp for check-in and relaxation.

Day 2: Game drive and Boat safari on Lake Ihema

Begin the day with an exciting game drive through the savannah plains of Akagera National Park in search of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, and predators. Later, enjoy a relaxing boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you can observe hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species while taking in the park’s beautiful scenery.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Transfer back to Kigali

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before setting out for your final game drive in Akagera National Park. This is a great opportunity to spot any wildlife you may have missed during the previous days and take in the park's stunning scenery one last time.
Afterwards, check out and begin your drive back to Kigali. Along the way, you may stop for some last-minute souvenir shopping before being transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight or to your preferred hotel in Kigali.
