DETAILED ITINERARY
Upon arrival, a Naseeb Safaris driver-guide will meet you at your hotel or Kigali International Airport and escort you on an insightful Kigali City Tour. Discover the city's history and culture with visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and the bustling Kimironko Local Market.
After breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, you will begin your journey to Nyungwe National Park, located in southwestern Rwanda. Along the way, you will stop at the King's Palace Museum in the Southern Province, where you will gain insight into Rwanda's rich cultural heritage, traditional lifestyles, and the history of the country's monarchy. After an en-route lunch, you will continue your scenic drive to Nyungwe National Park. Upon arrival, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings before dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.
After an early breakfast, you will go for a chimpanzee trekking. Nyungwe is a vast, mountain rain tropical forest over 1000 sq km in size. It is home to 13 species of primates, over 275 species of birds, and 100 varieties of orchids. After trekking, your driver-guide will bring you back to the lodge for lunch. Afterward, you'll enjoy a drive to the canopy walk away which is the highest bridge from the park on which tourists walk and enjoy the whole view of the park. Later, you'll be driven back to your booked lodge for dinner, and an overnight stay.
In the morning, after your breakfast, you will check out then drive you to the northwest of Rwanda where volcanoes National park is located. You will be enjoying the beautiful rolling hills of Volcanoes National Park. On arrival at the park, you will check in your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, with your packed lunch, your Naseeb Safaris driver-guide will transfer you to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. During the briefing, park rangers will explain the guidelines and safety measures to follow while interacting with the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
You will then set off on an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure through the forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once located, you will spend a memorable hour observing these magnificent primates as they feed, play, and interact in the wild.
After the trek, your driver-guide will transfer you back to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you will embark on a scenic excursion to the beautiful Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Surrounded by rolling hills and breathtaking landscapes, the lakes offer excellent opportunities for sightseeing, photography, and experiencing the tranquil beauty of northern Rwanda. Later, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Akagera National Park, Rwanda's only savannah national park and home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the Big Five. Enjoy a scenic drive across the country, passing through beautiful landscapes and rural communities. Upon arrival at your lodge in the afternoon, you will check in and have time to relax and unwind while taking in the tranquil surroundings of the park. The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing you to enjoy the lodge's amenities and prepare for the exciting wildlife experiences ahead.
Begin the day with an exciting game drive through the savannah plains of Akagera National Park in search of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, and predators. Later, enjoy a relaxing boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you can observe hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species while taking in the park’s beautiful scenery.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before setting out for your final game drive in Akagera National Park. This is a great opportunity to spot any wildlife you may have missed during the previous days and take in the park's stunning scenery one last time.
Afterwards, check out and begin your drive back to Kigali. Along the way, you may stop for some last-minute souvenir shopping before being transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight or to your preferred hotel in Kigali.
