Day 1: Pickup, Kigali City Tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park

A Naseeb Safaris driver-guide will meet you at your hotel or Kigali International Airport and take you on a Kigali city tour. Highlights include a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and Kimironko Local Market. After lunch, you will proceed to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Twin Lakes Excursion

After an early breakfast, with your packed lunch, your Naseeb Safaris driver-guide will transfer you to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. During the briefing, park rangers will explain the guidelines and safety measures to follow while interacting with the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

You will then set off on an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure through the forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once located, you will spend a memorable hour observing these magnificent primates as they feed, play, and interact in the wild.
After the trek, your driver-guide will transfer you back to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you will embark on a scenic excursion to the beautiful Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Surrounded by rolling hills and breathtaking landscapes, the lakes offer excellent opportunities for sightseeing, photography, and experiencing the tranquil beauty of northern Rwanda. Later, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Drive Back to Kigali for the Hotel/Flight

Early in the morning, your driver-guide will pick you up from your lodge and transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing on the guidelines to follow when encountering golden monkeys in their natural habitat. After the briefing, you will set off on a trek through the forest in search of these fascinating primates. Once you find them, you will have ample time to observe their behaviour, enjoy the experience, and take as many photographs as you wish.

After the golden monkey trekking experience, your driver-guide will transfer you back to Kigali. Along the way, you will stop at one of the region’s finest local restaurants for lunch before continuing to Kigali, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your onward flight.
