Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Akagera National Park, Rwanda's only savannah national park and home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the Big Five. Upon arrival at your lodge in the afternoon, you will check in and have time to relax and unwind while taking in the tranquil surroundings of the park. Day 3: Game drive & Boat safari on Lake Ihema

Begin the day with an exciting game drive through the savannah plains of Akagera National Park in search of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, and predators. Later, enjoy a relaxing boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you can observe hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species while taking in the park’s beautiful scenery.

Day 4: Transfer from Akagera National Park to Kigali, visit the Genocide Memorial.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure. Hike through the misty rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once located, spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for relaxation and reflection on this extraordinary wildlife encounter.

Day 10: Golden Monkey Tracking & Transfer Back to Kigali

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch before beginning your scenic drive back to Kigali.
