Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch before heading out for a memorable afternoon boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of the mighty Murchison Falls. Today, enjoy an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest National Park, renowned as the primate capital of the world. The park is home to the highest diversity of primates in Africa, including wild chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, & more. Your adventure begins early in the morning with a briefing by experienced park rangers at 8:00 am about chimpanzee tracking rules and safety guidelines. You will then venture deep into the rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzee families. As you walk through the lush forest, listen to the exciting calls of chimps echoing through the trees. Once located, you will spend one hour observing them in their natural habitat as they feed, play, groom, and interact. After lunch at the lodge, continue for the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary walk, a rich eco-tourism site famous for bird watching and primate viewing. Look out for the Great Blue Turaco and several monkey species in this scenic wetland paradise.
After an early breakfast, you will depart Kibale Forest and continue to the famous Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most popular safari destinations known for its incredible wildlife diversity and scenic landscapes. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the majestic Rwenzori Mountains, also called the “Mountains of the Moon,” as well as the stunning Ndali-Kasenda crater lakes surrounded by rolling hills and lush countryside. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and relaxation before heading out for an exciting afternoon game drive in the Kasenyi plains. After your Breakfast, you will transfer to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, a remote and scenic wilderness area in southwestern Uganda famous for its tree-climbing lions and vast open savannah. The drive offers beautiful views of the countryside and wildlife along the way. Upon arrival, you will embark on an evening game drive in search of elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and the iconic tree-climbing lions resting in fig and acacia trees. As the sun begins to set over the plains, you will enjoy a relaxing sundowner experience, taking in the golden African sunset in one of Uganda’s most picturesque safari settings before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

You will then begin your trek through the dense tropical rainforest, navigating steep trails, valleys, and thick vegetation in search of a habituated gorilla family. The duration of the trek varies depending on the movement of the gorillas, making the experience even more adventurous and exciting. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one hour observing these gentle endangered giants in their natural habitat as they feed, groom, play, and interact. This once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounter is among Africa’s most extraordinary safari experiences. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch. After breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda’s most scenic and compact wildlife parks, known for its rolling hills, open savannah, and rich variety of wildlife. The journey offers beautiful countryside views as you approach the park. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge and later head out for an evening game drive. This is a great opportunity to spot zebras, impalas, elands, buffaloes, topis, and giraffes, as well as abundant birdlife in the golden light of sunset. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning scenery make this evening safari a perfect introduction to Lake Mburo’s unique wilderness experience.
Start your morning with a guided nature walk in Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda’s most rewarding walking safari destinations.
