DETAILED ITINERARY
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your English-speaking Naseeb Safaris driver-guide, who will introduce you to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa.
After a short briefing, you will be transferred to your selected accommodation for check-in. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and unwind after your journey. Take time to recover from jet lag, adjust to the local time zone, and enjoy the comfort of your lodge or hotel as you prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.
After an early breakfast, depart for Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting on-foot rhino tracking experience. Accompanied by experienced guides, spend about an hour observing these magnificent animals in their natural habitat.
After the trek, have lunch before driving north to Gulu City. Once affected by years of conflict, Gulu has transformed into a vibrant and welcoming destination. Today, it is a lively city where resilience, culture, and community spirit thrive. As you explore, you'll witness the remarkable progress of a region that has embraced a new chapter filled with hope and opportunity.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the booked accommodation.
After breakfast, depart for Kidepo Valley National Park, one of Africa’s most spectacular wilderness destinations. Arrive in time for lunch and some relaxation before heading out for an afternoon game drive in the famous Narus Valley.
Characterized by sweeping savannah grasslands and acacia woodlands, Narus Valley is the park’s prime wildlife-viewing area thanks to its permanent water sources that attract animals year-round. Keep your eyes open for large herds of buffaloes, elephants, zebras, and various antelope species, as well as predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
After an exciting safari experience, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, set out on a sunrise game drive through Kidepo Valley National Park. As the wilderness comes to life, look out for lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, and a variety of other wildlife in their natural habitat.
Return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax before heading out in the afternoon for a cultural encounter with the Karamojong community. Spend the evening learning about their traditions, customs, and way of life, gaining a deeper appreciation of one of Uganda’s most fascinating cultures.
After this enriching experience, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, set out on a guided walking safari through the African wilderness, accompanied by an armed ranger. Explore dry riverbeds, rocky outcrops, and bushland as you track wildlife on foot and experience the sights, sounds, and scents of the savannah up close.
Depending on the route, you may visit the scenic Kidepo River Valley, where a walk across its wide white-sand riverbed offers spectacular views, or explore the striking Borassus palm forest, an oasis-like landscape that contrasts beautifully with the surrounding plains.
After lunch and some relaxation, head back to the Narus Valley for an afternoon game drive in search of more wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and predators that roam this wildlife-rich region.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
We will enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge and thereafter, embark on a transfer to Murchison falls national park. The highlights of this include the roaring rapids of the Murchison falls, the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest national park where you will have a chance of viewing buffaloes, elephants, lions, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, then surely the concentration of hippos and the Nile crocodiles here will fascinate you, if interested and time allows you can proceed for a late afternoon- evening game drive.
After breakfast, set out for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest national park. Keep an eye out for a variety of wildlife and bird species before returning to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls. Along the way, spot hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and an array of water birds along the riverbanks. For those seeking a more active adventure, an optional hike to the top of the falls offers spectacular views and an unforgettable experience as you witness the Nile force its way through a narrow gorge.
Return to your lodge in the evening to relax and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
After an early breakfast, visit the top of the magnificent Murchison Falls to witness the Nile River force its way through a narrow gorge before plunging dramatically below. The breathtaking views and thunderous power of the falls make for an unforgettable experience.
From here, begin your scenic journey to Kibale Forest National Park. Although the drive is long, it is filled with stunning landscapes, including rolling hills, lush countryside, traditional villages, and expansive tea plantations that define western Uganda’s beauty.
Upon arrival at your lodge near Kibale Forest, check in and spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings in preparation for the adventures ahead.
Prepare for an unforgettable primate experience in Kibale National Park, home to one of the highest concentrations of primates in the world. The park is especially famous for its wild chimpanzees, making it one of the best destinations in Uganda for chimpanzee trekking.
After breakfast, an experienced ranger guide will lead you into the forest for your chimp tracking adventure. The activity begins at 8:00 am with a briefing on the trekking guidelines and safety rules before setting off into the lush rainforest in search of these incredible creatures.
Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend a full hour observing them in their natural habitat, watching their behaviors and interactions. After this memorable encounter, return to the lodge for lunch before continuing your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Begin the day with an early morning game drive through the scenic Kasenyi and Queen’s Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This wildlife-rich area offers excellent opportunities to spot elephants, lions, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, and a variety of bird species. Continue the drive towards Lake George before returning to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a two-hour boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, one of Uganda’s most rewarding wildlife experiences. The cruise offers close encounters with large pods of hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and other animals coming to drink at the water’s edge.
It is also a perfect opportunity for photography, bird watching, and enjoying the beautiful scenery along the channel. After the cruise, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, depart with a packed lunch (or enjoy lunch in Ishasha) as you journey to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of the famous tree-climbing lions.
Known for its unique wildlife experiences, Ishasha offers the rare opportunity to witness lions resting high in the branches of fig trees. While sightings are not guaranteed, the chance of encountering these remarkable lions is rewarding, and if you are lucky enough to see them, the experience is truly unforgettable and makes for incredible photographs.
After exploring Ishasha, continue your scenic drive through the beautiful landscapes of southwestern Uganda to your accommodation near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Arrive in the evening, check in, relax, and prepare for the next day’s adventure.
After breakfast, proceed to the ranger’s station where you will receive a detailed briefing from your ranger guide about the gorilla trekking guidelines, safety measures, and the dos and don’ts while in the forest.
Begin your unforgettable adventure into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. The duration of the trek and difficulty of the terrain varies depending on the location and movements of the gorilla family. Once you locate the gorilla group, you will have one magical hour to observe them in their natural habitat, witnessing their behaviours and interactions up close.
The experience of being in the presence of these gentle giants is truly remarkable and creates memories that last a lifetime.
After the trek, return to your accommodation for lunch and some time to relax. Later, enjoy an optional community experience such as the Batwa cultural encounter, coffee experience, or other local activities (available at an additional cost depending on your choice).
After several days of long drives and the unforgettable experience of gorilla trekking in Bwindi, this day is set aside for relaxation and enjoying your surroundings at your own pace. All meals will be served at your accommodation, allowing you to rest and recharge in comfort.
For those who wish to explore further, optional activities are available at an extra cost. You may choose from experiences such as a historical island tour, a visit to the Batwa community, a Nyombe Swamp excursion, mountain biking, zip lining, canoeing, or kayaking on the lake.
Your preferred activity can be arranged on-site with the assistance of your driver-guide. Whether you choose to relax or explore, enjoy this peaceful day and the beauty of the region.
After breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo National Park, passing through Mbarara City and enjoying the scenic landscapes of southwestern Uganda along the way. Arrive at your accommodation in time to settle in, relax, and prepare for an afternoon-to-evening game drive.
Explore the park’s beautiful savannah landscapes in search of wildlife including the rare giant eland, zebras, topis, impalas, cape buffaloes, and many other species. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the chance to experience Uganda’s unique wildlife in a less crowded setting.
After the game drive, return to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
For those interested in a different adventure, an optional night game drive is available at an extra cost. This offers the opportunity to discover Lake Mburo’s nocturnal wildlife and experience the park after dark, when a different side of the wilderness comes to life.
Enjoy an early breakfast before heading out for a guided nature walk in Lake Mburo National Park, accompanied by an armed UWA ranger guide. Experience the park on foot as the morning comes alive, offering a unique opportunity to observe wildlife up close, including giraffes, elands, Defassa waterbucks, topis, cape buffaloes, and other species.
Follow the trail through the park and ascend to the hilltop viewpoint, where you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Mburo and the surrounding landscape. From this vantage point, enjoy views of several of the lakes that surround the national park, creating a memorable final wildlife experience.
After the nature walk, return to the accommodation for check-out and begin your journey back to Entebbe. Arrive in time to connect with your onward flight or transfer to your preferred hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable Uganda safari adventure.
