Day 1:Transfer from Kigali (Rwanda) to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your gorilla trekking adventure begins with a warm welcome from an experienced English-speaking driver-guide from Naseeb Safaris at Kigali International Airport or your preferred hotel in Rwanda. From Kigali, enjoy a scenic 4–5 hour drive across the Rwanda–Uganda border to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas.
Travel through breathtaking countryside featuring rolling hills, terraced landscapes, rural villages, and stunning mountain views often referred to as the “Land of a Thousand Hills.” Upon arrival at your comfortable lodge near Bwindi in the evening, relax and unwind as you prepare for the unforgettable experience of gorilla trekking in Uganda’s ancient rainforest.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla trekking and local community experience (optional)

After an early breakfast, you will head to the ranger station for a detailed briefing by experienced park guides about gorilla trekking rules, safety, and conservation efforts. You will then begin your trek through the dense tropical rainforest, navigating steep trails, valleys, and thick vegetation in search of a habituated gorilla family. The duration of the trek varies depending on the movement of the gorillas, making the experience even more adventurous and exciting. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one hour observing these gentle endangered giants in their natural habitat as they feed, groom, play, and interact. This once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounter is among Africa’s most extraordinary safari experiences. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch. Later, you may choose an optional cultural experience such as the Batwa community visit or a local coffee tour at an extra cost, or simply relax at the lodge while enjoying the peaceful forest atmosphere.
